Kelly Pipe’s New Sales Office In Bogota, Colombia

The energy sector is one of Kelly Pipe’s primary markets. To continue penetrating this vital business segment, Kelly Pipe International Ltd, headquartered near London, UK, recently opened a distinctive sales office in Bogota, Colombia. Headed by Ernesto Porras Beltran, a prominent local steel pipe manager, with a long history in supplying OCTG, line pipe and drill pipe to South America, this office will be serving Colombia’s burgeoning oil exploration and production operations in addition to surrounding Latin American countries.

Ernesto previously managed Tenaris sales activities in Latin America (formerly Maverick Tube & Tubos del Caribe’s) and most recently oversaw Quality Pipe & Service’s branches in Colombia, Peru & Panama. He has worked extensively throughout the region with major oil and gas companies having established equipment and pipe storage yards, created proper logistics strategies, and determined needed product and inventory levels. Ernesto graduated from La Salle University and also attended Madrid Polytechnic, studying Business Administration.

Kelly Pipe International Ltd’s Managing Director, Alex Merle, affirmed the company’s long term commitment to the Latin American region. Using their sizeable sourcing capabilities, Merle indicated that Bogota will function as the base for Kelly’s business operations throughout the Latin & South American region.
